The Board
The Council is, besides the Annual Meeting, HHGS’s highest deciding organ. It consists of 13 members whom are elected through an open election. The Council works with strategic and long term decisions, concerning for example the Unions employees, the Union’s budget, and monitoring the work of for example the projects and labor fairs. They also hold ownership of the companies that are owned by the Union, HandelsConsulting, HandelsRektrytering and Handelsboden.
If there are issues, it is the Councils responsibility to look over routines to avoid further problems.
The Council meets every other week and the meetings are open for all of the Unions members. Between the meetings the Council’s work continues through different work groups and committees.
Documents for the Council should be given to Council’s speaker at least one week before the meetings. See deadlines and the meetings dates below, with reservation for changes. They process budgets that exceed 100 000 SEK, budgets that have negative results, budgets of all projects and the statutes of all projects, committees, program groups and associations.
