SMILSMIL is a society for everyone studying at the Programme in Environmental Social Science. The society monitors the education, organises social activities to strengthen comradeship and promotes the programme both outside of and within the school. The social activities include barbecues, dinner parties and TV-game nights. The role of the society is to be a link between students and programme management. We monitor education standards and help out in creating suggestions for further development of the programme. Since SMIL is a small and relatively new programme we are also committed to keep in contact with our alumni.. Every year an annual project called Utblick is held. Utblick is a job fair/ inspiration day for environmental science students in Gothenburg. The aim of the event is to create good contacts with the industry and to inspire students.
