Head of the International Committee

The goal of the International Committee is to make sure our exchange students have a great experience while in Gothenburg. To achieve this, we arrange different kinds of activities as to create meetings between domestic and international students. To help us out, we have student buddies who support our international students during their time at the School of Business, Economics and Law. 

When the exchange students first arrive in Sweden, it is our task to welcome them to Gothenburg and to contribute to them getting to know both the city as well as other students. To make this possible, we arrange a kick-off at the beginning of each semester. The student buddies represent an important part of the organisation and they take part in the kick-off as well as in the other activities held during the semester.

Our vision is an increasingly internationalised school where a win-win situation is created, making it possible for international and domestic students to make contacts all over the world. To make networking possible, one project is to make all information regarding HHGS available in English. Our goal is for our international students to get more integrated in the common activities within the Student Association. We want to create an atmosphere where domestic students want to integrate with international students and vice-versa. 

To broaden the international students’, as well as our own, networks of contacts, we collaborate with other student associations in Gothenburg. Our goal is to be able to cooperate with student associations all over the world.

In my role as the head of this committee, I get the opportunity to run different projects, arrange activities together with the members of my committee and our student buddies, increase the visibility of the student association to our international students, develop my language skills and broaden my international network of contacts.
