The Board

The board of HHGS is the highest decision-making body of the Student Association, aside from the annual meeting. The board has 13 members whose main task is strategic work for the future. It is led by a speaker, in addition to whom two other posts are appointed, namely vice speaker and secretary. The board has meetings on Tuesdays every two weeks and any member of HHGS who wants to attend is allowed to do so. If one has an errand with a wish for a decision taken by the board, all information regarding it must be sent to the speaker at least one week prior to the meeting, the reason being that the invitation is distributed at this time.

One main task that the board has is to take decisions regarding budgets exceeding 100,000 SEK, which have a negative result or which belong to any of the HHGS’ projects. The board also takes decisions on establishing new societies, changes in the byelaws, as well as policy documents, just to mention a few things. It is also responsible for HHGS’ company group.
